Help Mum have the funeral she deserves

Hi there my name is Ben and I’m Alison’s son!

Unfortunately on Thursday 26th January 2022 my lovely lovely mum suddenly passed away.

A little bit about mum. Mum was born in Crawley on November 4th 1967 and was one of 3 siblings. She had 2 brothers and she was the only girl. Mum grew up in Crawley and has lived her whole life here. She had 3 sons which I know she truly loved and For as long as I’ve known her she has only had a few jobs, working in Crawley college, part time in Tesco and helping other people find jobs from a company called creating futures (which she truly loved) which takes me on to my next point about mum. Mum was the kind of person who always always loved helping other people, even if it meant she was at a loss or that even when she had nothing or felt unwell, she would always put other people in front of herself and never expected nothing in return. Mum was the kind of person who never moaned about anything, 9 times out of 10 if you needed her or asked for help she would be there or try and support you as much as she can.

A little later in her life my dad become truly unwell and unfortunately also passed away 11 months ago but his sickness lasted around 10-11 years and mum being the person she was dedicated her life to make sure that he wouldn’t go without, sometimes going without herself. Throughout this period mum mum became a very inclosed person and kept very much to herself. After dad had passed away 11 months ago mum began to finally find her self again and that spark of wanting to do something again came back and she wasn’t such a person who kept herself to herself. Towards the end of her life she just started to get her house together with us all helping paint the house, sort out little bits and bobs and there was still more to yet be complete.

As a few people who will read this will know, there were 2 things in this world she loved besides her sons and that was her cats and her drawings. Mum was a very very creative person and could make anything out of anything (lovetodrawthings.com) and pretty much anything and everything had a cat on somewhere. I know her cats will truly miss mum as much as we will and for me that is sad because her cats were also her life and created part of her happiness.

Mums pass away has been unexpected and the costs for a funeral have not been set aside, there’s no funeral plan in place so please help me and my family raise some money so that my mum, my very lovely mum can have a proper send off, a send off that she deserves because she was a special person and she was very loved and we would hate for her not to have one last proper goodbye and to celebrate her life!
