Help Musicians "Graduate from their Garage!"

Hi Friends!

I'm Keith, from Keith's Hootenanny, and I'm raising money to hire a student in broadcasting for Sunnyside Summer Nights. SSN is a summer-long music event where, every Wednesday night we present 4 separate emerging musical acts in a ContainR park in Sunnyside, a neighbourhood in Calgary, Alberta.

The broadcasting student will shoot stills and videos of each act, thus providing these musicians with valuable, high-quality marketing assets to use to help promote their act after their SSN performance.

Now in our third season, I have found that many acts do not have good quality material to promote themselves. So this, along with professional sound checks, stagecraft advice, a nifty green room filled with chicken and pizza (not at the same time...) , and a happy audience will provide these artists with the experience and materials they need to grow and thrive.

Further, we'll be providing the summer student with excellent experience shooting over 40 hours of live acts over the summer, in a challenging, live environment, with tight deadlines and professional oversight.

It's just another way that the SSN team creates community in Calgary.

We are a registered society - the Keith's Hootenanny Emerging Artist Society - and have a CMA on staff to manage funds appropriately.
