Help A Young Mom Rebuild After Tragic Fire

A devastating fire broke out on Saturday night, affecting a six-unit apartment building in southeast Portland. The blaze, which originated from an encampment behind the apartment complex, was caused by a group of campers who were present at the site. Among those severely impacted by this tragic event is my sister, who lives in one of the affected units.

My sister, a single mother to a one-year-old boy, has been hit particularly hard by this disaster. Her apartment, unfortunately, sustained the most damage and is now in a condition that is beyond repair. The fire destroyed everything she owned, including many valuable possessions and irreplaceable items. The loss has been overwhelming, and she is left with nothing.
