OUR DOG, GRACE, SURGERY

My dog Grace is 8yrs old.  She is a boxer/Rhodesian Ridgeback.  She has been diagnosed with ruptured ligaments in both of her legs.  One of her legs is 100% torn and the other leg is a partial tear.  She also has arthritis in one leg.  She is barely able to walk.  Grace used to be a vibrant, athletic dog with a happy, playful spirit.  Grace is deteriorating fast and requires surgery asap.

I have been diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer and am not sure how much longer I have to live.  My cancer has spread to my bones, spine, back, ribs, liver, lungs, legs and pelvis.   I am on long-term medical disability and live on budget which is why I am unable to afford surgery for Grace.  If Grace does not get this surgery soon,  she will no longer be able to walk and I will have to put her down.  I can't bear to lose my best friend.  She cheers me up when I feel down and makes me smile every day!!!

Grace is my best friend.  I spend most days in bed with Grace laying beside me.  She is my everything and I am her everything.  She shows me so much love.  She is my loving companion.  I don't know what I would do without her.

The surgery will ensure that she will be able to go for walks again and live pain free.  At the moment, Grace cries every day because of the pain she is in.  She is on pain medication as well as a weekly injection.  She is unable to get into the car, jump up on the bed, etc.  Even walking is painful for her.  She is confined to the house and backyard.  The vet says walking will make it worse.  This is no life for Grace.  She is used to being outdoors, fetching the ball, playing with other dogs, swimming, etc.

Please help her so she can once again be a happy-go-lucky dog.  I love her so much.  She is my world and each day that goes by my heart breaks for her more and more.  When she cries in pain, I cry too.  My kids and I would appreciate you helping our Gracie!!!!!
