Help my boys and I avoid becoming homeless
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Fergie. My wife and partner of 17 years past away suddenly in April 2022. It has devastated me and my two sons, Daniel, 13, and Jack, 10.
We've all had tremendous grief over the last year and life without her has been very hard in many ways.
That grief has affected me mentally, bringing back anxiety and depression I thought I had once dealt with, and as a result I've lost my job today, 03.03.23.
And to top it all off, on the same day the job ended, my landlord has 'had a change of circumstances' and is making us move out of our home so he can sell it, the last home we ever shared with my boys mother and my wife.
Times are tough for all I know, but the last 12 months we've lost so much.
This fundraiser is my plea to anyone who sees this, to prevent us becoming homeless. My kids have been through so much and they deserve to have a place to live and try to navigate life after their mother's death.
The goal amount is going towards, one month's rent and deposit, usually the same amount, any associated fees for moving house such as removal van, estate agent fees etc and a new washing machine and wardrobe as they're the only pieces of furniture in the house I do not own. Average rent for houses in Belfast ranges from £600-800 for the size of house we need.
If you can give anything, please do. If you can share this, please do. I have so much uncertainty in my finances without employment I can't even begin to work out a way through this.
This is incredibly hard for me to do because I pride myself in always providing for my family but I am desperate and my boys deserve to have some semblance of comfort and security.
In advance, I thank you for your donations and I will always be grateful of your kindness at this time.
