“Help Evacuate My Cousin’s Family from Gaza ASAP"
Hi, my name is Esraa Elbittar, a Palestinian from Gaza currently living in Deutschland. I am reaching out with an urgent request to help my cousin Iman Ayyad and her family evacuate safely from Gaza as soon as possible. They are facing dire conditions, risking death from war or starvation due to the scarcity of basic human survival items like food, clean water, and medicine.
My cousin, Iman Ayyad, is 33 years old, married, and has five children: Ahmed (16), Talin (3), and three others in between. Despite the permanent siege and difficult living conditions in Gaza, including poverty and unemployment, Iman managed to create a beautiful, happy life full of love and security for her family. She pursued her passion for Palestinian hand embroidery and started a business 12 years ago, shipping her intricate pieces to countries around the world, including America, Germany, Canada, Russia, Belgium, Sweden, Jordan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the Emirates, and cities in the West Bank and Jerusalem.
Iman's business flourished, and she expanded by hiring other skilled women in her community, creating a supportive network and a thriving enterprise. Her dream was to establish a store specialized in hand-embroidered dresses, capes, and shawls.
On October 13, 2023, this dream came to a devastating end. Iman's home and business were completely destroyed in the ongoing conflict in Gaza. She lost everything, including her only source of income that supported not just her family, but also the women who worked with her. The past six months have been incredibly difficult as they have been living in a tent for displaced persons in the Al-Mawasi area, enduring extreme weather conditions, the spread of diseases, lack of potable water, and continuous bombing.
Iman and her family need to evacuate to Egypt to find a decent life and rebuild their lives. The funds raised will be used to cover travel expenses, temporary housing, and help restart her embroidery business, which is crucial for their survival and well-being.
Your donation will have a profound impact on Iman and her family's future. It will provide them with the chance to escape the horrors of war, find safety, and rebuild their lives. Iman’s embroidery project is not just a source of income; it is a symbol of resilience and hope for many women in her community.

We promise to keep you updated on our progress. Regular updates will be shared on the campaign page, including news about their evacuation, milestones reached, and expressions of gratitude.
