Help my children survive the war in Gaza

Donation protected
I am Rola Minya from Gaza City, an engineer, wife, and mother of two children, Fawzi, 4 years old, and Majd, 1.5 years old. My husband and I dreamed of a house of our own and a beautiful future for our children. We live in Gaza, amidst rubble and chaos. We are not looking for travel tickets or waiting for our dreams to come true. We are desperately searching for a safe shelter, for food to satisfy our children. The safety of my family and children, who have only known the horrors of war, is my only priority, and I will stop at nothing to ensure that they get the peace and health they deserve in light of the closure of the crossings and the deprivation of our most basic rights.

Our happy children before the war.

The story of our displacement began on the sixth day of the war on the Gaza Strip. We and our children woke up terrified to the heavy bombing of the area where we live in Gaza. So we left our home, my children and I, and my husband stayed in Gaza and refused to go with us because he believed that the situation would not last a few days and we would return to our home. We only took simple things from home at that time and headed to Rafah as its security area, but the situation in Rafah was bad. The bombing became everywhere. We headed to the central Zawaida area and set up our tent there. The matter continued for a long time, longer than expected, and the war continued. My husband suffered severe burns to his head, back and legs. Our dream home was destroyed.

Our house has been a huge dream since we got married, and now we've left it behind to live with my kids in a tent.

We are in a tent and it's 40 degrees and it's like hell, the situation is not bearable anymore.

Today, I come to you with a call born of despair and hope. Our lives have been shattered by unimaginable loss and relentless devastation. Imagine waking up every morning to the deafening sound of bombs, not knowing whether another bombing will destroy what remains of our once cherished homes. This has been our reality for too long. We lost everything - our home, our job, and most tragically, my husband was seriously injured and there was only first aid.
Imagine leaving your comfort zone and having to live in a tent erected on uneven, weeping, unsafe ground next to hundreds of thousands of other tents filled with millions of other people you do not know in a place you do not know and with no means of privacy, survival, and hope. You would probably prefer to die alone in a place that feels familiar and comfortable, where you feel like you have always belonged despite its current dangers. While it brings sadness to see what was in the past become a thing of the past that you can never get back, it still carries the memories, feelings, and value that it always had, for this reason and many others.
The place we live in now is going through difficult circumstances.
I realized that my husband and I could not do anything as we saw and memories and dreams were shattered. We found ourselves drowning in despair and frustration, because we fear for our children the risk of death due to war, hunger, or disease, and we have only thought about feeding and protecting them since the war began. I am so exhausted trying to keep Fawzi and Majd safe and healthy and struggling to provide them with food, diapers and medication.

After months of siege and displacement, and times where we repeatedly escaped death, we need your donation to support my children’s presence in Gaza and protect them from malnutrition. The water is polluted, there is no electricity, there is no privacy, and diseases are widespread among children. Despite the cold weather at night and the intense heat during the day, we are in a tent full of insects, especially flies, and many others. From insects. Your donation protects us, every support makes a difference. If you can't, send it to all your friends.
We never dreamed of more than a life like this....
Every night I try to kill insects and keep my children as healthy as possible, and I stay up all night to protect them and hug them from fear, bombing, and insects
Can you believe what our life was like? How now?

Every child's simplest dreams are a game and a peaceful sleep in bed
My children now

Every blast of fire kills our health and takes us back many years

I believe that light is born from the heart of darkness. Today I communicate with you with all the hope remaining in my heart to support my family’s presence in Gaza and obtain their most basic rights.
Your donation saves my children from living among insects, death, and sleeping on a dirt floor that slowly kills you. Help me keep Fawzi and Majd safe and healthy, and rest assured that your support will have great importance in my children’s lives and future.
There are many ways to help, it could be through a donation, sharing, a kind word of encouragement, or even prayer. I hope that my voice reaches as far as everyone can hear it.
