Help my cousin Alan get a kidney transplant
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Alan Mora Lecuona and I live in Leon, Guanajuato with my mom, who is taking care of me and my big brother Carlos, who has an accident 30 years ago.
Several years ago, I was diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) or end-stage renal failure, inherited from my father, who died of this disease at the age of 72.
I'm just 44 and I want to live! I still have so much to do! I have a daughter (25 years old) and a son (14 years old), I also have a granddaughter that I want to see grow up!
That's why I´m asking for your help as I need to have a kidney transplant as soon as possible.
In the past years, the disease has caused a lot of deterioration in my body and has left me with complications such as herniated discs and peptic ulcers.
I also have to do 3 hemodialysis a week.
Unfortunately, I don't have insurance anymore, and I’m paying for my treatment with support from all my family, but this is not enough, as there are a lot of costs every day.
Right now, I´m in hospital (Hospital General Regional de Leon Guanajuato) waiting for a herniated discs surgery, this may happen in 3-5 days (the cost of this surgery is more than $1,600 USD) even that this is a social hospital, as I need to rent a machine outside the hospital (as hospital do not have this machine).

In addition, the pandemic affected us economically and emotionally, which took away the possibility of doing the operation in a Social Hospital, since they are with limited service due to Covid 19.
And the waiting list if more than 2 years (however, I´m just starting the transplant protocol in this hospital in parallel).
My brother wants to donate me a kidney so I can stay here for many more years and be better, however, the costs of the intervention are very high.
I want to ask for your support to be able to perform the surgery on my own, and also to pay the hemodialysis (3 per week = $300 USD aprox per week) during the waiting time to get my kidney transplant.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you very much!
