Help My Dad Save His Musical Legacy

Hello to all who read this,

My name is Nicole Mouser, I'm from Los Angeles, and for those of you that do not know me, I'm Rich Mouser's daughter. To say we are broken by this loss would be an understatement; Its honestly surreal. Loosing a home is devastating, so loosing your life's work as well is insurmountable.

I wanted to set this fundraiser up to help my dad get back the musical and studio equipment he has found and collected over the last 40 years. As a result of the Eaton Fire in Altadena, the house and all of its contents are gone. This equipment has been a vital tool in the making and mixing of music, that is my dad's business.

Dad has a wonderful fascination with music that has consumed him since he was 15 years old, and it's with that dedication he created The Mouse House Studios. Over the decades he has channeled his passion for making music towards helping, and collaborating with musicians to achieve their artistic vision. The heart that was in this place was palpable; so many talented people stepped-foot through the doors; so much creativity.

This place was not just for making music, but a place for friends and family. Birthday's, graduation celebration's, family get to together's and holiday's. I remember this place when it frankly was a dump. I remember the leaky roof, and the raccoon living in the ceiling of the bathroom. So much of my childhood was spent waking up early with dad and going to Home Depot. An annoyance to my 7 year old self, but vision of hard work I came to appreciate as I got older. I can not stress enough how much hard work was put into this place; year by year, the house and studio blossomed - its honestly hard to grasp its gone.

The out pouring of love that has reached my dad is overwhelming. It's amazing how you can go through tragedy, and still experience the beauty of life at the same time; the beauty of love and friendship.
