Help my Dad Recover from Assault

On the night of 6/23, it was my dad’s 56th birthday. Instead of going to dinner or having a day of well-deserved celebrations, my dad was out working as an Uber driver to provide for his family. My dad has done this for 10+ years. Last night, he was assaulted and robbed by a large group of people and was unable to defend himself as he was pummeled by a violent crowd. His phone was stolen and a large rock was thrown through his car window, shattering it and sending shards of glass flying everywhere. He was rushed to the hospital, where he spent the rest of his birthday.

My parents share one car between them and rely on it for both of their jobs, especially my dad’s. The cost of repairing the vehicle as well as replacing the phone alone are far more than we can afford at this time. A police report has been filed, but my dad will most likely need to hire a lawyer as well. The perpetrators have not been arrested yet. As my dad recovers, I want to do as much as I can to help him get back on his feet and not lose hope.
