Help my Daughter to get Autism Assistant Dog
Donation protected
My name is Anna and I would like to ask for help in raising money for an Autism Assistance Dog for my autistic daughter.
This year, my daughter turned 15. In July last year, she was diagnosed with autism. The lockdown made everything worse, she was more struggling with school and since May 2022, my daughter stopped going to school at all. She is hardly leaving home due to her very high social anxiety and sensory issues. My daughter loves animals, listens to music, and colouring books, watching movies in her room where she feels safe.
The specially trained assistance dog will help my daughter with her meltdowns and very high anxiety; will build up her confidence, and helps her to go out of the house to get fresh air and exercise. In addition, the dog helps this clever girl to come back to her education. The dog’s special skills also help her to improve her social skills, sleep, eating patterns, and many more.
The Autism Assistant dog will provide emotional and practical support for my daughter. I truly believe the Dog will be life-changing for her, she will become less anxious, more independent, and more confident. As she loves animals, she will take excellent care of her dog (with some help from me).
To take part in the Residential Assistance Dog Programme and get the Dog we have to raise £14,990 that all goes to an institution called Autism Dogs Charity (www.autismdogs.co.uk).
I would like to ask for help to collect money if you can/are able to and to help my daughter to start enjoying her life.
