Help my family and I evacuate out of Gaza

Hello everyone, my name is Alaa Awad and I am currently raising money to help my uncle from Gaza evacuate himself, his wife, and their three children to escape the genocide currently taking place. Written below is a testimony directly from him on what their family has gone through:

My name is Abdel Basit Mohammed from Gaza, I am 38 years old.

I am married and we have three children Zeina 11 years old, Mohammed 9 years old and Adam 3 years old.

I was working as a pharmacist in my own pharmacy in Gaza City and was able to provide for my family a comfortable life because of this.

I came to you with a heavy heart asking for help.

In any way possible because life has not been alive since the beginning of the genocide on Gaza on October 7, 2023.

My house was located in Gaza City, completely destroyed by the Israeli army. My family and I have nothing left from our home. My pharmacy and livelihood in Gaza are also gone due to the shelling and destruction coming from the Israeli army.

Now, my wife and my three children have been living in a tent in a refugee camp in Rafah for 145 days after we were forced to flee due to the Israeli occupation army.

We all suffer from hunger, insecurity and life.

We all have became sick due to the lack of protection against the cold in our tents.And my children developed intestinal diseases due to food and water pollution.

I can no longer describe the tragedy we are experiencing in terms of lack of food and water.My family and I reached the harsh reality, and I realized that we have nothing left in Gaza with the bombing and destruction continuing.

Education for children in my family has also been disrupted. Because of the destruction of schools, their future is left unknown.

Therefore, I decided to get out of the Gaza Strip and survive death, but the obstacle is that the cost of traveling through the Rafah crossing between Gaza and Egypt is $5,000 per person and $2,500 per child. Which means, I need $17,500 to coordinate in the Egyptian hall to get out of this crossing and ensure to the best of my ability that my wife and children can survive death.

Please help us survive.

Our goal is $20,000, for me and my family to go out and pay for travel.
