Help Sela’s family escape the ongoing war in GAZA

My name is Salma Sadouq, and I am organizing this donation. I currently live in Gaza with my husband, Loay Al-Sheikh, and our daughter, Sela.

Our story is told to you by my daughter, Sela:

This is the story of my family and me.

My Palestinian father, Loay, married my Moroccan mother, Salma, a few years ago. The plan was that after their marriage in Gaza, they would settle in the Emirates, where my father was working at the time. However, their wedding took place just before the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result, they were in Gaza when the borders closed, and they were unable to leave. By the time the borders reopened, my father had lost his job, preventing them from moving to the Emirates.

They then decided to stay in Gaza. A year after their marriage, I was born. I am now three years old.

Over the past few years, my mother and I have visited Morocco several times, but unfortunately, my father was unable to join us.

You are all probably aware of the current situation in Gaza. We used to live in the northern part of Gaza, which meant that we had to leave our beautiful home quickly. Since October 13th, we have been living in tents. Currently, we are located in Al-Qarara. The situation here is worsening every day, and even the relatively safer areas are no longer safe.

I am here now with my mother, father, grandparents, uncle, and aunt. We hope that we can rebuild our lives.

I long for a normal childhood, like any other child my age, far from the ongoing war.

I wish to live a life free from the constant sounds of bombing, fear, and violence, and to have a safe home. I hope to grow up in a stable and carefree environment where I can play and learn, without my family or me having to endure health or mental challenges in the future.

To have a chance at rebuilding our lives, we will need the following:

1. **Border crossing fees**: €5,000 per person (total €15,000)

2. **Basic life needs, such as food and clothing, etc.**: €1,000 per person (total €3,000)

3. **Flight tickets**: €1,500

4. **Rent a house**: €2,000

5. **Setting up a source of income**: €8,500

**Note**: A portion of the funds will be allocated for taxes and transfer fees.

I am asking for your help to raise the amount needed to get us to safety.
