Help my family escaping Gaza war to find saftey!

Dear friends and supporters,

My name is Zayyoun Al-Abbadi, from Palestine, I lived the 27 years of my life in Gaza strip. I write to you in a time of desperation, seeking your support from devastation for hope that my family would be safe and to give me the chance to reunion with them soon.

I am fundraising to save my family from the ongoing brutal war, after five months of constant bombings, violence, and starvation, with losing all our hopes for an immediate cease fire. And now after the horrific danger of entering Rafah- the safe area- they told people to evacuate to!!! The only remaining hope is to evacuate them to Egypt as soon as possible.

I have a small family of 3 people and they are all what I have in this world. My mother who has a brain stroke and a heart problem, her medicine is almost rarely available, so she needs a propriate medical care. My two brothers were university students studying and having hope to build their lives. Abood is 26 years old who was studying accounting before the war started.

My brother Hamood is 20 years who loves dabka he was celebrating his graduation just one month before the war.

I left Gaza 6 months ago for the first time in my life for a training in Europe related to my work, I left with a very small bag that doesn’t fit all my memories, because it’s two weeks and I am coming back to Gaza. I didn’t know it would be the last time for me to see my family and to say goodbye to all my people, my work, my life and to Gaza, my home that I love.

At the first days of the aggression, my neighborhood Al Rimal was destroyed .My family were violently displaced four times starting from Gaza taking the last point in Rafah. There is no place left any more to escape since the IDF announced they will enter Rafah and they already started bombing heavily in the last couple of days! It’s getting harder and way worse by minute; each day is a day of life or death. To be in Gaza is life threatening and I pray every day for the survival of my family.

Most days there is no way to communicate with them to make sure they are okay. I cannot describe how much this has devastated my life and even my ability to function on a daily level. All of this with scarce food, no potable water, and no electricity. Every day is a struggle for survival as they must scavenge for food and wood for cooking while being surrounded and enduring constant bombardment, with no work left nor any other income and losing our house, literally everything we used to have before is gone and destroyed.
