Urgent: Help my family evacuate from Gaza

Hello, my name is Najwa Zaqout and I live in Belgium. Today, I reach out to the world with a plea for compassion and support. I am spearheading a GoFundMe campaign on behalf of my family, who are currently enduring an unimaginable crisis in Gaza. In these moments of sheer urgency and despair, I am appealing to your humanity to help facilitate their safe evacuation.

Since October 7th, life has taken a dire turn for my family. Their home neighborhood in the North of Gaza has been obliterated, leading to forced all of them evacuations under harrowing conditions. Initially seeking refuge with relatives across Gaza, they found no safety as the conflict’s unpredictability followed them, shattering any semblance of security. Today, they reside in Deir Al-Balah camp, deprived of the most basic human necessities: sanitation, medical care, food, water, and warmth.

Each day, they face starvation, dehydration, and the biting cold, with the added burden of medical conditions that cannot be treated due to the unavailability of medication. specially my father suffers diabetes and my mother has a difficulty breathing without access to their vital medications.

 My parents suffer from chronic diseases. My father suffers from diabetes, and since the beginning of the war he has not found a cure. My mother also suffers from shortness of breath and a problem with the lungs. Now she is forced to sit for long hours in front of firewood to make bread, in addition to my father, whose health has deteriorated due to malnutrition and polluted water. Their four floor house was completely bombed. The house which they had given all their years of effort to and 38 years of hard work , was demolished in a second.

Seven months and they are outside their homes, missing everything - food, warmth, medicine, water, clothing, safety, and everything. Faces of death multiply here; those not killed by missiles might perish from hunger, and those surviving missiles and hunger could succumb to illness and the spread of diseases. They are hungry, fearing missiles, and all of this and more is happening while the world watches without lifting a finger.
