Help my family evacuate Gaza for medical treatment

*Update on My Family’s Situation*

I am heartbroken to share that my family remains trapped in the north of the Gaza Strip, where the situation has turned from horrifying to truly unimaginable. The borders are closed, and every day is a struggle for survival. Your generous donations have been their only lifeline, allowing them to buy food, which is now outrageously expensive, as well as water and essential medications. With winter fast approaching, my family faces another challenge of finding necessities to protect them from the brutal cold amidst ongoing displacement and after they have lost everything they had. I am endlessly grateful for all your kindness and support, and I humbly ask for your continued help to keep my family alive during these horrifying times.

***Update***

Hassan was still at AlShifa Hospital when IOF soldiers surrounded them and invaded the hospital last week. During the invasion, the IOF soldiers kicked his family out of the hospital to the south and left Hassan alone without them. Two days later, the soldiers ordered the full eviction of the hospital which resulted in Hassan being thrown in the streets alone without any support. He was injured badly again which resulted in him needing yet another surgery. He was thankfully found on the Rashid street by his other cousins. Hassan is still in need of one more surgery that can't be done in Gaza under the current conditions because of the lack of supplies and resources. We still ask for your help to get Hassan and his family out before it is too late.

Hi, my name is Ibtisam Alafghani and I am an international student in the US. I was born and raised in Gaza surrounded by my lovely family members. Over the past 5 months, I have lived in utter fear as I have watched my loved ones face death and forced starvation. At the start of this genocide, my family and I lost a few family members including uncles and cousins. Just a few weeks ago, my baby sister was pulled from under the rubble. Unfortunately, most of my family members are still trapped in Gaza due to the blockade.

My uncle and his family who I was raised around have been displaced countless times since the start of this genocide. They have struggled to find food and shelter for days at a time. On the 29th of February, the day of the flour massacre, my cousin, Hassan Abu Sido, went to collect aid that was airdropped over Gaza City. Unfortunately, he was shot by Israeli snipers from a tank, that almost ran him over. He was immediately taken to Al Shifa Hospital after the attack. So far, he has gone through 4 surgeries. However, none have been fully successful due to the unsanitary conditions in the hospital. Hassan's life is at risk and he needs to be moved to a hospital outside of Gaza immediately. It is not only my cousin who needs immediate help, my uncle Rateb, his wife Abeer, and their 4 children including Hassan, have been stuck and unable to get to the South. Their home has been bombed and they have lost everything. They have lost weight and have various health conditions because of the lack of food and funds available.

Additionally, my other cousin Menna is also in desperate need of your help as she is suffering from Jaundice because of unsanitary conditions surrounding her and the lack of food. In order for her to heal, she needs to be in a clean environment and get the medical treatments required. However, that is impossible to achieve as she stays in a small tent shared with other people.

Today, I reach out to you with a plea for compassion and generosity to help me evacuate some of my family members out of Gaza for their safety and to get the medical treatments they need. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you for your kindness, support, and solidarity during these difficult times.
