Help My Family from Gaza have a Safe & Secure Life

Hello dear friends, I am Roaa Abdel Ilah from the Gaza Strip, specifically from the city of Khan Younis, I am 28 years old. The number of wars I have survived during these twenty-eight years is beyond anyone's imagination, but this war is the worst. A year before this war, I married my life partner Salama, and my husband and I lived the best times and most beautiful days. Two months before the war, I gave birth to my first child "Tahani".

My daughter Tahani lived the first days of her life in a war that was full of bombing, fear, displacement, destruction, homelessness and fear. My daughter was two months old when the war started, and now my daughter is one year and two months old.

My husband, Salama, and my daughter Tahani and I were displaced four times due to the war. On 12/1/2023, the occupation army issued orders to evacuate the area where my family and I live. They forced us to evacuate our home with bombardment, and we had to move to my uncle’s house in the middle of the city, but we were only able to stay for two days. Then the second evacuation order came and asked us to evacuate the entire city of Khan Yunis and go to Rafah. We moved to Rafah and stayed with one of our friends in Rafah for about two months. After that, the occupation army ordered us to leave Rafah and move to Mawasi Khan Yunis. Now we live in a tent in Mawasi Khan Yunis. After all these difficult circumstances and times that my family and I lived through, and the repeated displacement and search for a safe place, we received the worst news I have ever heard in my life, which is that the house where my family and I live was bombed.

We lost everything, we lost our home, our memories, and we lost many relatives and friends. Now my husband, daughter and I live in a tent that is extremely hot in the summer and extremely cold in the winter. We also suffer from biting ants, insects and flies, and we also suffer from unhealthy and polluted food and water.

We are now in dire need of many basic necessities that have become expensive, such as food, cleaning materials, gas, vegetables, and also milk, diapers and clothes for my daughter Tahani. We are unable to afford these costs due to the increasing rise in prices, and also because my husband lost his job due to the war.

So I humbly ask you to try to donate as much as you can to help us in these difficult and harsh times that we are going through. Any contribution, no matter how small, will have a tangible impact on our lives and help us overcome this ordeal.
