Help my Family from Kharkiv during Ukraine Crisis
Donation protected
The Russian invasion of Ukraine has caught my aunt Victoria and my cousins Andrew, Angelika and Diana in the eye of the storm. They were holed up in their apartment in Kharkiv, waiting and praying for the war to be over, but two days ago, their apartment building was bombed. Unfortunately, the place they were able to once call home, was devasted in ruins in front of their bare eyes. To add on, just two blocks down, the Dairy Plant, where my aunt used to work, was also completely demolished, leaving her and her children with no roof above their heads and no means for existence. With the conflict intensifying daily, it is hard to tell when the war might be over, but it is abundantly clear that whether it is to survive or escape, they will need our help.
Even if the Russian troops leave today, the damage to my family's lives has already been tremendous. They were left with no choice but to leave their hometown and are now on their way to the border to save their lives along with their dog. This was definitely a heart-breaking decision for my family to pursue since they had to leave their own father in Ukraine, so he could fight for the country. As difficult as it was to let go of their home, it was their only chance for survival.
Traveling 600 miles to the Romanian border through a dangerous warzone to eventually relocate to the US is a nightmarish and dangerous journey. Its success is bound to hinge on my family's ability to pay for the cost of the passage at every turn. The situation in Ukraine is extremely dire and filled with uncertainty, but no matter the outcome that will result, the challenges for my family are immense. Raising these funds will help them tremendously in every scenario and might even make a difference between life and death. Any amount you can give will help significantly. Please consider contributing today. Thank you for your kindness and consideration!
