Help My Family Honor My Dad’s Wish For a Nice Funeral

Hi, I’m Riley. I live in California as a family of 5: my mom, dad, and twin sisters. We have a very hard time making ends meet, but life’s great when you have family.

However, very recently, my dad passed away. His name is Jack Keith Lavin. He was a very funny, caring person. He worked very hard his whole life before he became permanently disabled. He always wanted the best for us and was always giving us that, even with his disabilities. He meant everything to us and I’m extremely shocked that he’s not with us anymore. I’m very worried for my family, especially my mom. He died on November 13, 2024. At the time of this post, it was just 2 days ago. My heart hurts so much but I know life isn’t going on pause for us and I know we still need to keep moving.

My dad told me before that he really wanted a funeral when he died. Both his mom and his grandpa passed earlier on in his life and he was devastated. He wished he had a place to go to visit them after they passed, but he felt like he couldn’t because they were not buried. We want to give him a burial because that’s what he wanted. My family needs help with carrying out his wishes so we can all have a place to visit him. We could really use help right now, thank you for reading.
