Help them escape Rafah - “A Triplet and a brother”

I am reaching out to you with a heartfelt plea on behalf of my dear friend Mahmoud Abu Samaan and his family, currently residing in the war-torn region of Gaza. Their lives have been marred by immense suffering since the previous war in 2023, and they continue to endure hardships to this day.

Mahmoud's primary concern is the safety and well-being of his entire family, especially his father who is battling a stroke and acute kidney failure. The family consists of 6 members, including 4 innocent children, all facing unimaginable challenges. In order to provide them with a chance at a better life, we are endeavoring to gather a total of 50,000 CAD.

With this amount, we hope to secure their relocation to a safe country, where they can find solace and rebuild their lives. Additionally, the funds will be utilized to cover their essential living expenses during this transitional period. We believe that ensuring their safety and assisting them in this manner will allow them to regain a sense of stability and look towards a brighter future.

At 17, I suffered severe injuries while innocently standing on the street, still bearing the physical and emotional pain. Every day serves as a painful reminder of the harsh realities we face in a war-torn region.

Recently, my courageous brother sacrificed his life to rescue the injured from bombings. The void his absence creates is unbearable, leaving our hearts heavy with grief and forever changing our family dynamics.

In an additional tragedy, my wife's brother, along with his beloved wife and their innocent 3-month-old daughter, were tragically taken from us while they peacefully slept. The loss of their lives due to an unexpected airstrike is incomprehensible and deeply heartbreaking.

I share these heart-wrenching stories to urge you to empathize with the immense sorrow we endure. The pain we suffer is not isolated to our family but is experienced by countless others in Gaza. Through compassion and collective action, we can begin to heal and foster hope for a better future.
