Help my Family Rebuild After Devastating Eaton Fire

Hello to our family, friends, and kindhearted strangers,

My name is Angel Medina and I'm raising funds on behalf of my family due to losing our home because of the Eaton Fire. On January 8, 2024, around 6 am, my brother and I rushed back home to see if we could salvage anything. When we arrived, it was too late; the flames had reached our neighborhood. I got out of the car as fast as I could and ran to our home door. Panicked, trying to find the right key, I heard an explosion nearby and saw the house and surrounding area engulfed in flames; an image and sound that will forever be engraved in my mind. For my remaining safety, I rushed back to the car, and we rushed out of there.

Everything was lost. Childhood photos that will never be recovered, valuables, items that were precious to us, etc.

We only left with the clothes on our backs, important documents, some cash in hand, our pets, and our lives. My family is devastated, having lived in that space for about 20 years. Though, at the same time, we are grateful that we weren't hurt and were able to safely leave.

While uncertain of what the future holds for us, these funds will help us navigate through this tough time.
