Help Us Recover From Florence

Our Neighborhood is Underwater.

During Florence, my family’s home in Hampstead, NC (just minutes from Wilmington) experienced record flooding. Our home is not in a flood zone, so we don’t have insurance to replace anything we lost, including our home. My parents are trying to recover, but while all this is going on they still have to be able to make payments on our “house”, as well as figure out how we will afford to live from here on out. They never ask for help, so I’m doing it for them. These funds will be used to help them find a temporary place for to stay, and to prevent them from falling behind on bills (such as the mortgage) while they are figuring out how to rebuild. Anything you can give is more appreciated than you will ever know. I will do my best to keep you updated on how the funds are being utilized, so you can see your generosity in action. 

As of 9/25/2018: My parents were able to find a temporary place to stay for seven nights while they looked for a more permanent solution. They then were able to secure a camper that will serve as our home while we rebuild. All donations have been used either to fund their hotel stay, or to assist with the down payment of the camper. I will post another update soon!
