Help my family start over after the robbery
Donation protected
On Saturday, April 6th, my mom Maureen, her partner, and my brother Aiden became victims of a home robbery. This has been somewhere we've lived for over twenty years. As someone who works in the home and interiors world, the word home carries so much weight for me — it represents comfort, joy, and safety to start, and carries so much more to all of us. To have that sense of security shattered in a space that means so much to me is deeply painful.
While my family was out, intruders broke in and went through everything, the amount that they stole is life changing. Insurance won't begin to scratch the surface of whats covered, barely 2% of what was taken will be covered. Unfortunately majority of what they stole was untraceable items like jewelry and cash. At this stage in my parents lives, the thought of trying to rebuild from scratch is overwhelming.
I am setting a goal of $16,000 to help cover the cost of replacing broken doors, installing a security system, and restoring a portion of what was lost. Your support would mean the world to me, and them, — not only to ease their financial burden, but to begin the process of feeling safe again.
Burglaries in the area are on the rise, and I urge everyone to stay vigilant and consider steps to protect your home, and yourself.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this. Any donation, share, or kind word helps more than you know.
