Help My Family Survive! Medically out of work!

Hello! My name is John Watson and I am trying to raise money to help keep my family afloat while I am out of work due to emergency surgery. On June 26, 2021 I ruptured two discs in my lower back that immediately took me out of work as a captain in the fire dept. I had to have surgery to repair my back and have been out of work since. Because my injury did not take place on duty I have no money coming in and cannot apply for unemployment due to it being injury related. My insurance does not cover short term disability so insurance was no help either. We have burned through all of our savings keeping up with our bills but now have nothing left. I am not one to ever ask for help but I have no alternative at this point. I am asking for assistance to help cover bills and groceries to help take care of my family as well as to help cover some of my uncovered medical expenses. I have spent my entire adult life helping others but now I am in need and I am asking for any help I can get. I still have 1-2 months of recovery remaining and don’t know how we will get through it. Any help is greatly appreciated and will go towards taking care of my family.
