My father is facing his second battle with stage 4 lung cancer in just five years. The first time, he managed to stay strong, but this time the fight is much harder. He’s struggling every day, and his income is limited because he’s on disability. Before his diagnosis, he worked hard collecting and processing scrap metal to help support himself, but now he’s no longer able to do this labor-intensive work. It’s heartbreaking to see him lose the ability to do what he loves and to worry about paying his bills while fighting for his life.
One of his greatest joys is kayaking with our family. It’s his dream to stay active during treatment and to take a few trips to kayak in new places before he dies. The funds raised will help him cover his bills, afford day-to-day needs, and give him the chance to focus on his health and spend his remaining time doing what he loves. He deserves to be stress-free and at peace, surrounded by family and friends, enjoying every second possible.
I’m asking friends, family, and neighbors to help however they can. Your support will make a real difference, allowing him to keep fighting and to experience the joy of kayaking with loved ones. Please help us give him the support he needs to continue fighting and to make the most of his time. Thank you for being part of his journey and for helping our family during this difficult time.
