Help my friend recover after serious accident
Donation protected
Hi my name is Dee and I’m fundraising for Chris, who recently suffered life threatening injuries after a tragic accident.
Chris was a musician who before the pandemic would perform regularly with his band around the world. Unfortunately, live performance bookings have not returned to their pre-pandemic levels and This caused Chris to have a mental breakdown and start drinking to get him through the bad times. However after being treated by his GP. Chris choose a new career path working with children with additional needs; a new passion for Chris but a lifetime passion for his partner Jackie.
After a long weekend at work Chris was at home taking care of daily chores. Waking across his landing Chris tripped over the family cat, this lead to Chris falling from the top of the stairs all the way down to the bottom, he was found 13 hours later by his partner Jackie who called for the emergency services.
Chris suffered injuries including; a fractured skull, 9 broken ribs and blood clot on his lung. Chris remains in hospital, where he is unable to breath without oxygen, and his recovery is expected to last many months.
During this time Chris is confused and in severe pain. However, in his most lucid moments he blames himself for the accident and is upset and worried about how he and Jackie will manage to keep a roof over there heads. Chris is very aware that his injuries mean he will be unable to work for sometime.
Jackie will support Chris come what may, but as we all know Chris will need help when coming home which means Jackie will work less hours and with the cost of living so high, and only one wage coming in this will make it very difficult for them through the winter. So if you can donate to help Chris that will be so kind of you but if you cannot donate that’s understandable as it’s very hard times at the moment.
