My mom and Dad ( A. Jim Steward II) Are such amazing people. My, Dad is actualy my step-father but has never acted like that to us ,nor my mother has ever acted like a step mother to my step brothers. My mom and Dad have even raised a few others that were surprise adoptions. There was always a lot of love in this house because of Mom and Dad. So in total they have7 kids, including myself. They are animal lovers, and are amazing people all around. They would do anything for their families, whether it be their parents Art & Kathy Steward and Marja Maddox, their five boys and especially their two kids with disabilities. They still do!

My mom is the type of person who has always put other people's needs before her own. She has always worked at jobs to help others and was even in Law Enforcement from 2007 to 2012. She has volunteered to help homeless families with Family Promise organization for many years, as well as helped with the Alano House to help those recovering from addiction.

In the last 5 years, however, life hasn't been as kind to her as she has been to others. She suffered a broken hip, lost an eye, and even had to have a below-the-knee amputation. Unfortunately, medical bills have not slowed down, and it feels so terrible that those of us who can't help, and want to so badly, haven't been able to. What hurts the most, however, is watching her struggle. Being our mom, especially mine as someone with autism, is a gift incomparable to any, because not only would she give me the world, but so would I for her.

Our goal is to get $5000, to use $2700 to pay in getting her prosthetic leg and the rest on paying for additional medical bills and needs, i.e., mobility aids and wheelchair parts. Every little bit helps! We love you all, and we'd be honored to have anyone pitch in.
