Help My Mom Make Her Final Return to Taiwan

Reason for fundraising:
After receiving treatment and battling cancer for 2.5 years, the cancer in my mother's body has refused to give and her treatments could not resolve her ailments. My mother is on her last stretch of life (doctors stated ~6 months) and her final wish is to pass peacefully in Taiwan, her country of origin. However, due to lack of medical coverage in Taiwan, her stay in Hospice and medical bills would be completely out of pocket, which is drastically more than our financial situation can burden. This fundraiser also allows us to help her have a more comfortable trip to Taiwan and cover her ticket, housing fees for quarantine and housing arrangements, and hospital stay. Thankfully, my father will be accompanying my mother in order to ensure her safety. This fundraiser is to fully enable my mother to have a chance to be in a more comfortable and nostalgic environment to enjoy her last days.
My Mother's Story:
My mother is someone who immigrated to the United States with almost nothing in order to provide her and her children with a better life. She had grown up poor and worked her entire life until the day she received news of her diagnosis. Just as she thought she could finally take a vacation in her life, cancer took the rest of it away.
My mother is one who has had such growth in her character and is a parent who truly grew her character to understand her children towards the end of her life. I was looking forward to finally being able to provide my mom with a fruitful life of healing and joy, but the opportunity has been undeservingly stolen. Not only would my mother like to pass in Taiwan, she has been wanting to take a visit there for almost 20 years now, but on top of caring for her children and working full time, she has not had the opportunity to.
Any dollar that is contributed will go towards her expenses in Taiwan. Any is deeply appreciated. Sending Mom to Taiwan means that I will say my final goodbye to her at the airport. With the amount of pain and emotional suffering she has endured, I only tearfully wish for her to receive her final wish.
Our Breakdown of the Raised Money
- One way plane ticket and subsequent quarantine housing (as per Taiwan covid regulations)
- Housing arrangement (Airbnb) in Taipei
- Food and travel expenses while living in said housing arrangement
- Wheelchair
- Hospital/Hospice bills
