Help Support our Mom in Her Fight Against Metastatic Neuroendocrine Carcinoma
Our family is reaching out again, three years after the initial diagnosis, to ask for support for our mother, Dina, who is bravely battling metastatic neuroendocrine carcinoma of the lungs, a rare and aggressive cancer that originally began in her cervix.
Despite her strength and resilience, the disease has recently progressed. She has developed pleural effusion (fluid around the lungs), which causes severe shortness of breath and extreme fatigue. Over the past month, she has been in and out of The James Cancer Hospital, where her medical team is doing everything possible to keep her comfortable and manage her disease.
Because of her declining health, our mom has been unable to work for over a month. The physical toll of her illness, along with mounting medical expenses and loss of income, has created a financial strain. As difficult as it is for her to ask for help, something she has rarely done, she now needs our community’s support more than ever.
All donations will go toward her current living expenses, medical costs not covered by insurance, and into a savings account for end-of-life needs to ensure she can focus on the upcoming journey whatever that may look like.
If you are able to contribute, any amount will make a meaningful difference. Even if you’re unable to donate, sharing this page or offering words of encouragement would mean the world to us.
Thank you for taking the time to read her story, for your kindness, and for standing beside our family through this painful journey. Your love and support truly matter.
With gratitude,
Adele & Leyton

As most of you have experienced, our mom, Dina, has always helped anyone in need. She is always doing anything to help another person, in small and big ways! As kids we were so lucky to have her doing so much for us. She is the most generous person we know and loves so hard.
As of recent she has been diagnosed with Neuroendocrine Carcinoma (Small Cell) of the Cervix. This type of cervical cancer is very rare with less than 200,000 cases a year in the US. Small cell is also very aggressive and rapidly growing. With this type of cancer she is enduring multiple rounds of chemotherapy and radiation. This week she had her first three sessions of chemo and will be receiving radiation soon. Life-saving drugs like chemotherapy are not cheap and even though insurance will cover some of the cost it will still be a huge debt that my mom and her fiancé will have to pay. We all love mom/Dina so much and want to see her over come this illness.
Your funds will be used to help pay for the cost of chemotherapy that insurance can’t cover, copay’s and any other medical bills that may come up. I will try and keep this page up-to-date as much as possible with Mom’s journey to wellness.
Lets kick cancer’s ass! ❤️
