Help my mom win the fight against cancer

My name is Ritu. My mom went to the ER a couple weeks back for what appeared to be an upset stomach. A week of hospital stay and a number of medical tests later, doctors shared the unthinkable news that she has an ovarian cancer. For better treatment, we immediately flew her from Kathmandu, Nepal to a well-known cancer center in New Delhi, India.

In India, after more blood works, CT scan, a PET scan and a biopsy, my mom was recently diagnosed with metastatic advanced ovarian cancer. Her treatment plan includes 12 rounds of immunotherapy and chemotherapy combination followed by surgery to remove her ovaries and more chemo and immune therapies to follow.

She worked hard to raise her four children and gave us all that she could. We are determined to fight this fight for our mom to win. While me and my siblings are doing all that we can to support our mom thru the first phase of diagnosis and treatment, the funds we have available are not enough to cover her full treatment. As most of you may know, we also do not have health insurance back in Nepal. That means, all the medical costs must come out of your pocket.

It will certainly be a long journey ahead for my mom and our family with many challenges and expenses. In all honesty, we don’t want to give up. We want to fight. We want to fight this fight for our family, my mom, dad, her four children and three grandchildren. During this difficult time, we ask you to help by making any contributions you can. We hope to show our mom, that the universe still has more love in store for her.

All funds will help with costs associated with my mom's care (medical bills, lodging, transportation, basic needs, etc).
