Chemotherapy is not only physically draining but also mentally challenging. It's hard to do daily tasks due to its side effects on my body that makes working or even simple day-to-day routines a challenge. Despite my physical challenges, quitting work isn't an option for me.

I completed half of my treatment without seeking any kind of financial aid, but now I need assistance. A close friend convinced me to start a GoFundMe fundraising, which my son Dorian helped me create just days ago. He helped me by writing this story from the bottom of his heart, I didn't even know how to start it:

Hi, my name is Dorian and I'm fundraising to help my mom Violet, she was diagnosed with colon cancer stage 3 in November 2023, she had a surgery, they removed the mass , but she still have some positive nodules, she started chemotherapy sessions in January 2024 she's half way now with 6 of 12 sessions, and every time it's more difficult and painful for her, and right now she is very stressed about finances, which interferes with her recovery.

My mom works hard at the hospital, she has a kind heart, always willing to help others, but she cannot work like she used to anymore, she has to miss work when it is chemo day and sometimes she misses the next two or three days because her treatment is aggressive and makes her feel very weak. She tries to be strong and sometimes she goes to work even when she's feeling sick, and that breaks my heart, I try to help, I just got my first part-time job as a busser in a restaurant, but I don't make too much, my older brother also helps, and my dad works overtime almost everyday. But it’s not enough to cover all the new expenses like her treatments, She goes to Texas Oncology in Tyler for chemo and Dr appointments 4 to 6 times a month and now she spends more money in gas, hospital co payments, meals, bills, etc. and she's not eligible for disability or food stamps.

Fighting cancer is tough enough for her, the last thing I want my family to worry about is finances, your donation would help support her through medical bills and other necessary expenses.
