Help My Mother Get justice from Neglect

Mg name is Darryl Randolph some of you may know me & my Mother Stella Yates. Last year my mother endured a second stroke that caused her to lose mobility on her left side of her body. She’s been in two facilities one Ecompass and the second North Star Rehabilitation Center. While residing in Ecompass between May & June for the short term, she received the helped she needed but couldn’t afford to continue to be a resident there. So they offered North Star when it was time for her to be transferred around the beginning of July, which is about 15 to 20 minute from where me and my fiancé lived. So it was convenient for her family to check on her throughout the week. This stay was only supposed to be temporary while we worked and searched around for a facility that catered to her every need. Over the mean time visiting her at North Star she complained about the food and how it wasn’t appetizing to her, she complained about the staff who mentioned that they would “drop her on the floor” That didn’t sit well with us. We tried and tried getting her transferred out, my sister in-law worked around the clock to reach out to other facility for her best interest. They just needed a referral fromNorth Star and they could start her paperwork to be transferred. Seems easygoing and less stressful for us right? Wrong!! These unprofessional people took so long to do so actually till this day haven’t sent in a referral for her to be transferred. Her health declined she lost so much weight due to not eating, and drastically it’s like she aged over night. Early this week we received a call that she’s been rushed to the Emergency Room due to very low blood pressure. When we arrived to the EMR the RN told us that she not only had low blood pressure but a very bad UTI and a infected bed ulcer that may be causing her low blood pressure. We were told by a Staff Nurse that looks after her said she noticed the Ulcer but didn’t report it. Hmm! Why wouldn’t you report something like that? We have so many question that need answered. But please if you have a heart or knew who my Mother is we all now that she doesn’t deserve this kind of Treatment no one does! But we’re going to fight for her I’m not stopping until North Star is Shut completely DOWN
