Help my mum fight against breast cancer
Donation protected
Hi Everyone,
My name is Adama, I am raising funds for my mum (Sainey Ndoye) in The Gambia.
My mum's issues with her breast started in May 2020 and was later diagnosed with Stage 1 breast cancer in November 2020. Since then, she has had surgery to remove the tumor as well as additional aggressive medication to prevent the cancer from growing and spreading. Unfortunately, in January 2021, my family was left devastated when we found out that my mums cancer had not only returned, but it is now Stage 2 and a high chance that it has spread to other parts of her body.
The Gambian healthcare system is not free and works on a 'Pay As You Go' basis. Hence, without payment, her condition will continue to worsen. 3 rounds of chemotherapy is needed, consisting of 21 days of treatment each time - totalling 63 days of chemotherapy. As well as surgery to remove the tumor and surrounding breast tissue.
My mum will be going to Dakar, Senegal for treatment. This means the cost of treatment: chemotherapy, surgery and medication as well as travel arrangements to and from Senegal has put my family and I under a financial burden. Because of this, we have set a goal of £5,000 to relieve the financial stress we are under.
We would be so grateful for any contribution of any amount, no amount is too small to help towards helping my mum during our time of need.
Your support is greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
