Help my Newborn Twins and my family survive in North Gaza

Donation protected
My name is Saleem Summour, and I'm reaching out to share my current situation and seek your assistance in surviving in Northern Gaza, where famine is setting in.

On February 26th, God blessed us with the early birth of our twins, Abdullah and Abdulaziz, who required intensive care. We tried our best to provide suitable conditions for them, but the blockade imposed on northern Gaza made it catastrophic and nearly impossible. We have not had electricity for over five months, and essential goods, including food and medicine, are scarce and exorbitantly priced.

We are currently resorting to primitive methods for survival, such as manually fetching water, which is often unsuitable for use and requires sterilization. With the absence of cooking gas, we rely on wood fires, endangering the health of our newborn twins. These challenges make it incredibly difficult to care for our newborns.

Therefore, I appeal to you for assistance in obtaining supplies for our newborn twins and my family for our basic needs to survive the onslaught and famine in Northern Gaza. With no commercial goods entering northern Gaza for nearly six months, prices have skyrocketed to unimaginable levels, making basic necessities unaffordable. In addition to the newborn twins, we are currently 7 adults and below is the minimum food supplies required to survive daily:

Baby formula = €18
Diapers = €10
1.5 KG of flour = €18
300 grams of onion = €15
300 grams tomatoes = €7.5
2 cans of beans = €12.5
3 eggs = €7
1 KG of rice = €18
-------------------------------
Total per day = €106

To survive on a monthly basis we would need €3,180 which is significantly higher than the average pre-war salary of €600/month!

Our goal is to raise 3 month's worth of food supplies to get us through the war. For more information on the skyrocketing prices in Gaza see this article by the Guardian.

Let me introduce you to part of my family:

• My wife, Samaa Ibrahim (26), left her homeland in Jordan to build a happy family with me in Gaza. She dreams of providing a loving environment for our children, away from fear and hunger.
• My father, Abdullah (57), a retired employee, has been instrumental in maintaining our household despite the damages caused by the war.
• My mother, Ayeda (57), a chemist and food analysis employee, has been the heart of our home, managing chores and cooking despite the challenges.
• My brother, Fathi (21), a final-year commerce student, and I were planning to start a small business together.
• My youngest brother, Abdulrahman (13), who is yet to experience his teenage years.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story and considering supporting our cause. Your generosity could be the lifeline we so desperately need, and we will forever be grateful for your kindness and compassion.
