Help my Ohana Recover from the Lahaina Fire
Donation protected
Aloha, my name is Tinoa and I was born and raised in Lahaina. Grew up in Wahikuli on Fleming rd. Which you can see in the picture below is no longer there. I am fundraising on behalf of my ‘Ohana that have been displaced by the fire. This is so heavy on my heart i feel numb as I write this out. So heartbreaking to see my family go through this I am in total disbelief of what had happened. My historic Lahaina town beautiful and thriving is the way I will always remember it.
My entire community and home town of Lahaina has been burned to ashes. My family is sheltering at my sisters house in Waikapu and also a nearby hotel in Honokowai. In the meantime, this will help offset the cost of their next step.
To watch the footage of our childhood memories just gone within a matter of hours makes me so weak. Knowing that my mom, siblings, cousins, aunts, 94yr old papa and many friends is now houseless makes me sick to my stomach!
I know It will be a long road ahead and a longer rebuilding process but with the help of Ke Akua, our community and friends I know this is possible. Like my papa said after the fire “take it one day at a time, as long i see the sunset & sunrise”.
These funds will be split amongst our family and go directly to the immediate expenses that is needed. Leftover funds will go towards rebuilding the homes that were lost and any repairs needed for other homes. I have a total of 5 families who’s ages run from 6months-94yrs old and many of them are keiki who have lost everything in this catastrophic event.
Rebuilding starts now and I will do all that I can to get my ‘ohana the help that they need. Please kokua wherever it is possible and please continue your prayers for us and all of Lahaina & Maui.
Mahalo in advance for your continued support and prayers in this very difficult time. We love & appreciate you all❤️
