Help my parents get through this difficult time.

As I write my eyes are welled with tears, a few months ago in October unfortunately my dad Michael aged 39 at the time, was diagnosed with stage 3 Bowel Cancer, hearing this was truly the worst news my family has been dealt. As every daughter would like to believe, I thought my dad was invincible, but cancer most definitely does not discriminate. My dad has always been fit and healthy- on the inside and out, physically and emotionally. So hearing those words was truly a shock to our family. Dad was booked in for a bowel resection a week before his 40th birthday back in December, the doctors were unsure if dad would need chemotherapy after the surgery. His surgery went well but after the surgery they were informed that dad would need chemo as the cancer had spread to lymph nodes in his bowel and was advised that he would need 6 months of chemo to rid of the cancerous cells.
This means dad will be back and forth to the Hospital 6 days a fortnight receiving his treatment. Meaning, dad will be unable to work for the next 6-10 months as his job is too physical and harsh on his body and has been unable to work since October last year, which has meant mum has had to work, look after us kids, cook, clean and financially and emotionally support our family through this really difficult time as the superhero she is. After 20 years a banking role mum recently changed careers in July last year to her dream job in the travelling industry. This means that mum works in an environment that will be dangerous for her to care for dad especially in these times of Covid as dad will be immunocompromised and cannot afford to get sick at any point in his treatment.
My dad is a really proud man and has always worked hard to ensure my brothers, mum (Chantell) and I had the best lifestyle possible. My mum Chantell, just like my dad has worked extremely hard our whole life and made sure us kids never went without anything and both of them never ask for help because that is just who they are. but right now my family is struggling and it breaks my heart to see my mum and dad this way and they truly do need some help even just a little. This would truly mean the world to my family and completely change our lives. Mum and dad don't know that I have taken this upon myself to do this gofundme. I am writing this today as my only wish is to help my mum and dad get back to normal and be healthy and happy, I want to give back to them as they truly are my inspiration and they deserve the world as they have given the world to my brothers and I. No family should ever have to go through this and I pray for the families who are going through a similar situation right now. Thank you so much for anyone who took the time to read my families story, it truly means the world to me and my family. Any amount of help no matter how big or how small would be greatly appreciated to help my parents through this time, even just words of inspiration to show them your love and support would truly mean the world.
Love and appreciation, Mykaela xox.
