In joyful memory of Josée Abi Assal
Donation protected
As a result of the community's overwhelming request for a Go Fund Me page, a member of the Ottawa/Gatineau community with the consent of the family would like to ask for your help.
Just shy of turning 12, a young girl full of joy and the youngest of her family became an angel because of a horrific tobogganing accident that touched the entire community. Josée Abi Assal, while enjoying a fun day with her siblings and cousins tobogganing at Mooney's Bay succumbed to her wounds in hospital. The accident happened Infront of her brother and sister who tried to comfort Josée with kisses and encouragement until the paramedics arrived.
Even being the youngest of the family, Josée always thought of her family. Josée's accident was very shocking to all her loved ones especially her siblings, the images of the accident will haunt them for the rest of their lives. No child should feel, see, and live with this pain of losing a loved one Infront of their eyes.
As a parent, I can only imagine the pain that the family is going through. Creating an education fund and helping her siblings get the professional help that is needed for them to get through this is what Josée would have certainly wished for. By creating an education fund for her siblings would mean that Josée would be able to continue helping her brother and sister even after she is no longer with them, and her memory will be a positive one.
PLEASE NOTE:
The family is humbled and overwhelmed by the community's request and willingness to help in one way or another and this is the reason why a Go Fund Me page was created. Donations will go towards an education fund for her siblings.
