Help My Sister and Neice Through This Difficult Time

Dear Friends,

I am reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your support for my sister, Lizirena Rodriguez. Lizirena is not only a devoted mother but also one of the hardest-working people I know. She has always done everything in her power to provide for her 7-year-old daughter, Rosy. But now, she needs some help.

On February 18, 2025, while driving to pick up Rosy from school, Lizirena was involved in a devastating car accident. Another driver hit her vehicle, sending her into oncoming traffic, where she suffered a head-on collision. The impact was severe—her car spun out of control, airbags deployed, and in an instant, her world changed. Emergency responders arrived quickly and rushed her to the hospital, where she underwent multiple life-saving surgeries to repair her shattered legs and other serious injuries.

Though we are grateful that Lizirena is now out of immediate danger, her recovery will be quite the journey and is just beginning. Doctors estimate she will need 8 to 12 months of intense physical therapy before she can walk again. Until then, she is unable to work, and the financial burden is overwhelming.

The expenses are piling up—rent, food, medical bills, childcare, and school transportation for Rosy. Despite her incredible resilience, this is a battle she cannot face alone.
