Help My Sister Recover from Spinal Surgery!
Donation protected
My name is Tiffany and I'm creating this fundraiser on behalf of my baby sister Mackenzie Lemieux-Potter. Kenzie just turned 30 years old and is facing the possibility that she will never be able to walk again without a cane.
On November 9th, she has spinal surgery to correct 2 herniated disks in her lower spine. These disks have calcified to the rest of her spine and around her spinal cord causing immobility and numbness in her legs. She was recently diagnosed with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (EDS), which is a connective tissue disease. This disease causes her to have loose joints, hyper mobility and almost constant pain. Her EDS complicates surgery and can elongate recovery. This has been a long, excruciating journey for my sister and there are no guarantees that she will be able to walk again without assistance, even after she heals from this surgery.
Kenzie will likely not be able to return to work until the end of December. Unfortunately, she does not have anymore PTO or any disability coverage. I am asking for your assistance to help her pay 2 months of her mortgage, car note and insurance. This money will allow her to focus on healing and not worry about how she is going to pay her bills. My sister is a beautiful, kind, loving, thoughtful person with a heart of gold. Anything you can give, she will appreciate more than you know.
