Help My Superheroes Battle Cancer

Hi all, I've set this up for my beloved friends Therese and Darin Calhoun.  Several days ago, after being admitted to Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial hospital for severe pain, Therese was diagnosed with diffused B Large Cell Lymphoma, an aggressive form of cancer which attacks the body's white blood cells.  Shortly before we learned this, Therese was informed she would need to have her gallbladder surgically removed due to the gallstones which caused the pain that originally sent her to the hospital.  While at the hospital, she was placed in critical condition after her kidney function deteriorated.  Her kidneys have fortunately stabilized after special care.         This has come as a complete shock to all of us, and while her treatment options are still being discussed, the doctor's current recommendations for convelesence in a specialized facility and outpatient chemotherapy at a seperate treatment center (and medical transport to and from these places) coupled with the cost of her gallbladder surgery, emergency room visit, and critical condition treatment, has created an urgent burden for the Calhouns.  The money raised here will help Darin and Therese deal with the cost of her treatment thus far, and prepare for the fight to come.   They face these difficult times and diagnosis as they have every challenge in life- with heart, humor, compassion, and boundless bravery- together.     Thank you for reading.  Please  help my friends. **UPDATE** So many of us rallied for Therese when she first fought cancer in October, and now we are needed again! After lively months of apparent recovery, Therese was re-admitted to the hospital on July 12th, after some difficulties initially attributed to medication. Scans and a biopsy revealed a cancerous tumor in her left frontal lobe. This was confirmed to be the same lymphoma she battled with her first round of chemo- it is now stage 4, and she has a long fight ahead of her. Anything you can give will go to supporting Therese and Darin as they begin the second round of chemo. Let's help them face this new battle as best we can- with kindness and hope!
