Help my wittle Penny - she needs surgery

Hey there! My name is Katy. I’ve been a veterinary technician for about 3 years and I adopted a dachshund, Penny, about 4 years ago from a nice family who couldn’t care for her anymore. I’ve done everything I can to care for her. As best as I can, I’ve tried so hard to keep her from jumping off of furniture since she is predisposed to disk disease but as a crazy girl it’s been a struggle. She’s been in a lot of pain the last couple weeks even with strict cage rest and steroids. The next step is an MRI which is pretty expensive even being in the field.

UPDATE: After visiting with the neurologist, they confirmed she will need surgery. Of course it is VERY costly and I can not afford it. I will continue to collect donations and save up so I can get her scheduled asap. I’m keeping her as comfortable and QUIET as possible! Thank you everyone for your support.
