Help Mykah! Study Abroad Morocco

Hello everyone, my name is Mykah Johnson. I am a junior at Bowie State University, majoring in social work. In the social work program, they host the global learning program. I love to travel and learn about new cultures so I want to take full advantage of this program. In summer of 2024, we will be traveling to Morocco for two weeks and will be learning the language of Arabic. Due to me not receiving the Pell Grant, I am unable to receive any funding from the scholarship the program normally uses. I will be the first in my family to get the opportunity to study abroad. As I mentor students in the inner city of Washington DC, I want to be a living example that they can also have opportunities and experiences like me traveling out of the country to further my education. I'm seeking your financial support to help cover housing, food, and other living expenses. This will ease the financial burden on myself and my mother who has supported me tremendously.
