Help Myles Fight Leukaemia

Myles Cunningham is a 4 year old boy from Pubnico, who was recently diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia. He has undergone numerous tests including bone marrow biopsy, lumbar puncture, blood transfusions, and other painful

procedures, in just 2 short days of being diagnosed and admitted at the IWK.

Myles was due to start Pre-Primary this September at Drumlin Heights in Argyle, but instead Myles is fighting a battle that no child should have to fight-the fight against cancer.

Myles is a fun loving, cheerful little warrior. He is kind hearted and full of life. He loves Spider-Man and adores his older brother Rylan.

Myles and his parents, Cody and Chelsea Cunningham, will have to stay at the IWK, by his side, for an undetermined amount of time (possibly months) where he will be receiving chemotherapy. Then he will be needing another 6 months of chemotherapy as an outpatient, meaning lots of trips to Halifax, doctors appointments, hospital stays, gas, meals, etc.

We hope to ease some of the financial burdens that can, unfortunately, make dealing with a child with cancer more difficult for Cody and Chelsea. No amount is too small, and any amount given will truly make an impact. Let’s help a family in need, that would surely help others when help is needed. Chelsea is a nurse at the Yarmouth Hospital and has helped many of us, in our community over the years.

This fundraiser will enable Chelsea and Cody to be able to concentrate on Myles getting well and fighting this disease (and maybe with a little help from Spider-Man;)
