Help Myron Cook Make His Home Accessible
Donation protected
Myron Cook is an 18-year-old, 2024 graduate of St. Albans High School. In July 2024, he was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma in his left femur. The cancer caused his left femur to fracture and because of this complication, doctors felt it was necessary to amputate his entire left leg to his hip. At the present time, he is wheelchair dependent. His home where he lives with his parents, Lauri and Matt, and two younger siblings is not handicapped accessible. His home needs extensive remodeling to make his life easier. The modifications needed are:
A wheelchair ramp from the front door to the driveway.
The front door needs widened and replaced.
An additional larger bathroom needs to be added, equipped with a walk in, handicapped accessible shower.
Myron is my nephew and a great young man who was looking forward to attending college. His plans have been put on hold for now, but he is determined to get through this! Described by others as “one tough Cookie,” he is so strong and brave! His mother is my sister, Lauri Cook. The goal of this Go Fund Me is to raise money to help make Myron’s home more comfortable for him! Any donation is appreciated so much!
