Help myself and my family evacuate Gaza

Hi, my name is Menna Abu Imara. I am a proud Palestinian, 16 years old and myself, my siblings and my mum are currently stranded in north Gaza.

On 7 November 2023, my family with my grandparents and cousins were taking refuge in Italiano - our family restaurant and one of the most iconic restaurants in the Gaza Strip. This restaurant was then hit with two direct missiles causing its complete collapse over us. My dad, uncles, and grandparents were instantly martyred.

The photo for this fundraiser is a before and after of the restaurant. As you can see, what was once a booming place of business and delicious food is now completely rubble. Even worse, the bodies of my dad and grandparents are still under the rubble, I have not even been able to bury their bodies and find some form of closure amidst this destructon.

Since then, my family has been taking shelter in North Gaza which has been absolutely destroyed by the Israeli Occupation Forces. There is no food, no electricity, and this genocide shows no signs of stopping.

We currently possess Australian visas which would allow us to temporarily take refuge from the ongoing massacres, however the Egyptian Government will not allow anyone to leave without paying $5,000 per adult and $2,500 per child. For myself, my 4 siblings and mother, this is $17,500 USD or almost $27,000 AUD.

Your donation would mean that we are able to leave to Egypt and escape the genocide occurring.

I have already lost my father, and now look to the international community for support in saving the lives of myself, my younger siblings, and my mother.
