Help get Nadia Abu Shaban & her family out of Gaza

Hello everyone. I'm Ahmad Akel, and I met Nadia Abu Shaban in 2021. Nadia is a wonderful soul who is full of smiles and positivity. She loves life and has always been there to support anyone she could simply by having a conversation. She embraces the beauty of Gaza through her stories and posts. You may be familiar with Nadia from her Instagram account (Nadia_Lens), where she spent years sharing uplifting tales from Gaza because she wanted to show the world that there are beautiful things that exist there besides misery and destruction.

Sadly, Nadia's life in Gaza has become intolerable due to the war, and she and her family are currently residing in a tent as refugees. In order to help her pay the exit coordination expenses, we are organizing a fund-raising campaign.

"Hello, I'm Nadia, and I've been navigating the challenges of living through the war in Gaza since October 7th. What started as a dream of a peaceful life has turned into a heartbreaking reality of displacement, loss, and survival.

Before the war, I faced the sudden loss of my beloved father due to a health crisis. Despite the grief, I tried to rebuild my life – joining a gym, going to work, and cherishing moments with friends. Little did I know that war would shatter these dreams.

Now, after being displaced 7 times, our last displacement led us to Rafah, where I find myself in a tent after losing our home. The struggle is real; we've been forced to move multiple times, experiencing the harsh realities of war and its impact on our daily lives.

I had simple dreams of being a fit, independent young woman with a car, enjoying coffee with friends, and spending evenings with my elderly mother. Unfortunately, these dreams have been replaced by the urgent need for survival.

The funds raised will help me and my family rebuild our lives. The money will be used for essential needs, including securing a safe place to live, replenishing basic supplies, and supporting my mother, who, at 70, faces challenges due to the displacement.

قبل الحرب، واجهت الخسارة المفاجئة لوالدي الحبيب بسبب أزمة صحية. على الرغم من الحزن، حاولت إعادة بناء حياتي – من خلال الانضمام إلى صالة الألعاب الرياضية، والذهاب إلى العمل، وقضاء لحظات عزيزة مع الأصدقاء. لم أكن أعلم أن الحرب ستحطم هذه الأحلام.
