Help Nahyan fight cancer

Hello everyone:)

We are a family from Navan, Meath and I have created this page for my son Nahyan my precious beautiful boy.
He was diagnosed with metastatic Neuroblastoma a very rare and aggressive form of cancer in may 2020.
Nahyan has High risk stage 4 NB cancer which has survival rate of only 40%.

Since the diagnosis we have been through hell and back. Nothing about this journey has been easy. We were given an 18 month treatment plan including Chemotherapy, stem cell transplant, surgery, radiation and immunotherapy. Nahyan is now in the last part of treatment I.e immunotherapy.

My real life superhero Nahyan has fought this battle with courage and strength and tears and pain.
He is still fighting this monster everyday and has developed countless longterm side effects from the treatment. still we have no other option but to keep going.

Once Nahyan finishes his treatment in Ireland we are working hard to get him on the Bivalent Vaccine trial at MSK Cancer Center, New York. It is the only pediatric tumor vaccine in existence.

As the relapse rate for NB stage 4 is around 60% and if a child relapses there is no known cure and treatment that works. That is why it is crucial that Nahyan gets this vaccine so we are desperately trying to get him on the vaccine trial.

DIAGNOSIS & TREATMENT:

Nahyan was diagnosed in May 2020 at age 4. He has metastatic stage 4 Neuroblastoma. Till now He has done 9 chemotherapies, buMel stem cell transplant, 12 rounds of proton radiation to the chest and is currently on 2nd round of immunotherapy out of 5.

What we are fundraising for:

Neuroblastoma has a very high relapse rate. It can come back even after years of being clear of cancer. If a child relapses the survival rates are very low. There are further clinical trials in USA that prevent relapse. We are fundraising for Bivalent Vaccine trial in MSK NewYork. 

COST:

We are trying to fundraise 375000 by end of August 2021.  The money will be used for Vaccine protocol cost, mandatory scans, travel and accommodation, optional scans if needed, pastoral needs and if any other unfortunate situation arises where emergency medical attention is needed.

If by the end of Vaccine protocol for Nahyan there is any amount of money left it will be donated to Irish charities.
