Help Nakia And Family After Car Accident

Silver Diner family, please let me introduce you to the one-of-a-kind Nakia Liles. She was one of the first servers we hired for our grand opening at National Harbor, and since that day, she's brought nothing but big smiles and genuine warmth for guests and coworkers alike.

In fact, this past month we ran our first-ever contest for "most 5-star reviews that mentioned a server by name", and guess who won? NAKIA. And it wasn't even close - she was the only server to get double-digits, with an incredible 11 5-star reviews to her name in August alone.

It gets even better: Nakia believes in Silver Diner so much, she invited her son Matthew to come in and join our team as a Food Runner. Seeing them side by side, it's hard not to feel good about being a part of this team.

And now, Silver Diner family, Nakia needs our help. At the end of August, Nakia was picking up her son from his father's home in West Virginia when another driver came down the highway in the wrong direction. In the crash that followed, thankfully she and her son were not seriously harmed, but her car was totaled.
