Help Nalani Brisco recover from a car accident

At the end of February, Nalani was hit by another driver who plowed into her passenger side while she was turning. While she was largely unhurt, the accident totaled her car and set off a number of financially overwhelming circumstances.

Her insurance has denied her claim (because of a one-time lapse in payment due to lack of funds at the time), putting the full burden of the accident on her. The car is at a towing lot, where it's accumulating a daily fee of $66 for as long as it's there. Nalani also could use help with getting medical checkups and potential treatment to make sure she's definitely OK (beyond the bruises the collision already caused her).

Nalani's a dear friend to many of us. She doesn't have the financial means to deal with a situation like this, and certainly doesn't deserve to have the dark cloud of this incident hanging over her. The whole ordeal has been causing a massive amount of stress in her life, but if we band together we can help her bounce back.
