Help Nana and Tony Rebuild After Fire
Donation protected
On January 7, 2025, the devastating Palisades Fire destroyed the home and board and care facility of two extraordinary people, Nana and Tony Haber. Over the years, Paul and I have come to know them through their care for Paul’s mother, and they’ve truly become part of our family. Their love and dedication to their residents go far beyond caregiving—they create a sanctuary of compassion and respect. Now, this fire has taken everything from them: their home, their livelihood, and the place their residents depended on for care. Tony and Nana have always given so much to others, and now they need our help to rebuild. Your contributions will help restore their facility, support their displaced residents, and provide immediate relief as they recover from this unimaginable loss. Please join us in showing Nana and Tony the same love they’ve shared with so many.

From Nana:
Help Us Rebuild After the Devastating Palisades Fire
On January 7, 2025, the Palisades Fire swept through our community, forcing my husband, Tony, and me (Nana) to evacuate our home and business (2 adjacent homes) located on Sunset Boulevard, Pacific Palisades. We left with our elderly and employees, hoping the fire would spare us. On January 11, we received the devastating news that our home had been completely destroyed.
This loss has deeply affected every part of our lives:
Our Home
The place where we built memories and found comfort is now gone. Losing our home hasn’t just left us without a roof over our heads—it’s also shaken the stability we worked so hard to build, especially for the elderly we care for next door at our board and care facility.
Our Family Business
For years, my husband and I have run a board and care facility for the elderly in the Palisades. We’ve cared for our seniors like they’re our family, especially since the two adjacent houses (ours and the facility) were the perfect setup to create one cohesive environment rather than two separate ones.
Our board and care facility has been more than just a business; it has been a sanctuary for elderly residents who rely on us for compassionate, round-the-clock care. We assist them with essential daily tasks and ensure they feel at home, respected, and cared for.
Unfortunately, the fire has disrupted this essential service, leaving our residents displaced and us without the livelihood that supports our family.
Rebuilding this facility is not just for us but also for the vulnerable individuals who depend on us.
Our Neighborhood
The fire didn’t just take our homes; it ravaged our community. Friends and neighbors we’ve known for years are facing the same unimaginable loss. The tight-knit fabric of our neighborhood has been torn apart.
Losing both our home and business has left us in a precarious financial situation. With our facility out of commission, we have no way to generate income to cover ongoing expenses or rebuild what was lost.
We are humbly asking for your help during this challenging time. Your contributions will go toward:
Restoring our board and care facility
Supporting our displaced residents
Covering immediate living expenses.
Any amount, no matter how small, will bring us closer to getting back on our feet. Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support as we work to rebuild our lives and continue serving our community.
Sincerely,
Tony and Nana Haber
